A trip to the White Mountains is wonderful any time of the year. Below are some of our favorite things to do there with young kids:

Storyland is a fairytale-themed amusement park in Glen, NH. There are lots of rides for your child, some of which parents can go on, too, and Cinderella and Tinkerbell may make an appearance. Plenty of play places, from a nursery rhyme play area to a loopy lab, are interspersed throughout the park.

Santa’s Village is a great place for kids of all ages who love Christmas. The amusement park has Christmas-themed rides, from the SS Peppermint Twist to the Reindeer Carousel. During winter, Santa greets every child, and eighteen of their rides are still open.

The Conway Scenic Railroad is enjoyable for kids and adults alike. Kids will love being on a real train, while adults will love the scenery. Kids under four ride free, and dining is available on the trains. There are two options to choose from - the Valley Train, which follows historic rail routes, and the Notch Train, which follows Crawford Notch.

Loon Mountain has a wide variety of activities, no matter the season. In winter, apart from skiing and tubing, there is ziplining and snowshoeing, while in summer, there is an aerial adventure park, bungee trampolines, and a climbing wall. During a two-day event in the fall, you can also catch the Highland Games.

No matter the season, the White Mountains have plenty of activities for kids.
